our story

We may come across as impatient at times. To be clear: We are. That’s the result of having met so many people living in pain and in fear of pain. These states can never be accepted as normal. That’s partly why we’re so impassioned and unwavering. For patients battling hematologic diseases, we’ve been entrusted with a critical purpose: To make each day better than the one before it.

A strong foundation.

We got our start as a research firm, cutting our teeth in the industry by discovering new molecules. Our break-through work became a building block for new medicines. Soon thereafter, we expanded our repertoire.

The science of giving a damn.

While we continue to research new molecules, our capabilities now also include the clinical and commercial development of our drugs. More significant, though, is our increased involvement in patient communities. Patients, more than anyone else, are experts in the hematological diseases we’ve dedicated our lives to curing. Caring deeply about them and understanding their experiences gets us closer to our common goal.

Next on the to-do list.

Today, we continue to enhance our capabilities as part of Novo Nordisk, which means in addition to conducting ground-breaking research, we’re the ones who turn those findings into treatments and products. It’s a challenge, but it’s a welcome one. We will not stop because our patients don’t have the same luxury.
